Meeting tomorrow
Just a heads up I've found out that I'm going to have a test in my programming lecture tomorrow, so I won't be about to get to our team meeting until 4.30pm. Sorry.

Blog
Ok ive read an update on floyds blog, we don't have to do a major presentation just a demo of how the game works. I finish a lecture at 4:30 if we want to go into the lecture room then or something or even message each other (0431704120) how we're going to get through these 5 minutes?

Come on guys
Twice now I've waited and heard nothing from anybody. James has his phone off. I can't afford to just sit here. If it goes ahead today, you'll just have to do it without me. I don't have time to be waiting with no contact from anyone.
Meeting for prep video
Hey guys,
Can you make it to uni (or a location) for our test video at 2:30 tomorrow (Wednesday)?
We'll probably be about 1-2 hours.
Let me know.

Haven't heard from James
I'm sitting in the Game Studio lab, Sam was here about half an hour ago. Can't get in contact with James. I'm going to wait 'til 3.30pm, try and call again, otherwise we'll have to organise it for another day.
EDIT: Just heard from him. Sounds like Wednesday is our next shot.

Developing Ideas
How statistics will be useful in determining a fair score:
- By determining the count of (pedal rotations and vehicles passed) and entering it into our equation, we can keep scores fair throughout players.
- Effectively, a high score is determined by: shortest time, highest number of passed vehicles and pedaling.
Points raised for discussion:
- Race?
- Include route difficulty?
- An equation to determine an overall route score?
Design Brief:
- Purpose.
- Context.
- Audience.
- Aim.
- Constraints.
Script:
- A world: Melbourne. Expression of a fast pace city environment, with little space for error.
- A character: Early 20’s, passionate bike rider. Competitive. Seems like a computer gamer.
- A problem: Competing with other bike riders, character aims to finish a route in a tight time frame. A breakdown: The previous night a friend of the rider had beaten a record made by the character. Really annoyed. It is a difficult route and the character is confident in getting his record back. The image is shown that this is the characters life, day in day out he races bikes. Scene switches into friend interviews to further explain characters commitment to this game. Character then begins race and retrieves his record. Conclusion.
- Purpose of story: Aims for its audience to better understand the concept of the game. While the demonstration must appeal to the audience.
Script developing ideas:
- Biker at beginning of route: Flick pedal under foot, tighten helmet, tighten handgrip, tighten brakes, show off general bike mechanics, and discuss more camera angles.
Structure of Events:
Introduction: Wake up, prep bike and walk off into field.
In-between: Friend interviews.
Body (as follows): Beginning of route will feature rider, breaks into a slow motion departure, fast pace race.
In-between: Submitting results.
Conclusion: Ride away and fade.
